Walk on Water (2004)

Last Thursday night, the channel Arte screened the movie “Walk on Water” produced by Israel Film Fund in 2004 and directed by the American-born Israeli director Eytan Fox.
The movie depicts an Israeli security agent who acts as a hitman abroad. The first scene shows him on the deck of a passenger ship offshore Turkey looking out a family of a young man, his wife and kid. As they disembark, the agent hits the man by a mortal syringe and he fell on the ground dead in the eyes of his wife and kid. Upon returning to his homeland, he is assigned to kill a now-dying ex-Nazi German officer. Axel, a grandson of the old man is arriving in Israel to meet his sister. The agent starts as a chauffeur to Axel. He gets close enough to Axel to accompany him to Germany residing in the old man's home as a guest. The agent is prepared to complete the mission by injecting the mortal syringe and at the same time Axel, looking in the agent's luggage, gets informed of his grandfather's past. While the agent ignores murdering the old man at the very end, the grandson arrives to disconnect the breathing apparatus.
In my view what the film says is nothing but the state-sponsored terrorism. The enemies of Israel shall be killed even if they can hardly talk or walk or even breath; Even if the Mossad agents cannot or don't want to finish their state-ordered mission (just out of mercy), then the ordinary people should or would finish it because they deserve to be punished possibly by God's will.
Does it seem legal to murder someone else even if he/she is a war criminal? Even a war criminal should and shall be brought to justice but in legal ways not by murder.
In contrary to Israel, Islamic Republic regime too, has murdered many of those it considers as enemies both inside the country and abroad. So what is the difference between Israeli and Islamic Republic regimes? Shouldn't both of these actions be considered as illegal actions or even crimes?
I believe this is state-sponsored terror whether it is ordered by Israel, Islamic Republic, Hamas or any other country or group. That is a crime too!
The interesting point here is that "Walk on Water" not only has won awards in Israel Film Festival but also praised in other film festivals such as Berlin and Paris.
Many motion pictures have been produced up to now on international intelligence activities but as much as I have seen, the theme of the subject has always been on a kind of competition or fair play (at least justified) between positive and negative characters. The most well-known is the James Band series. The play is such that usually any spectator justifies even the murders in fire exchanges as they seem to be part of a deal or struggle.
But how about killing an old man while he is sleeping on the bed and connected to a breathing apparatus by injecting a poisonous liquid? Or how about murdering an unarmed man in the eyes of his wife and kid, again by injecting mortal liquid and then escaping away? Does it really seem to be a fair play or competition?
I think this is a sort of state-sponsored terrorism which "Walk on Water" disseminates.
